clio diesel

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

well funny you should say that, i have been coveting one of my clients modern datsun which has been sat in his shed for several years.. i may even make a cheeky offer on it soon.. even if it might cause wifey to have a meltdown & kick me out
meanwhile in the land of clio, after much swearing at stupid turbo pipes & loss of even more skin, the starter has been refitted, tested & seems to be working. i even reset the clock & put the code into the radio :D

How modern is the Datsun?

If ever there was a car that tried to tell its owner something, then this must be it! The thing clearly wants to die in flames. Let it happen and move on.. ;)

You don't have much luck with automotive electronics Rich. Maybe it's time to hang up your spanners and use a gallon of unleaded and a match to solve all the cars issues ;)

thanks chaps!!
i hate car electrics!! they tested the original& it worked  i have fitted a brand new one to test if its the car or the starter... i can fit one in record time now but with the usual amount of blood loss...found myself looking longingly at one of these yesterday..
