The XJS is something of a cult classic. The E-Type was a hard act to follow, I never could admire the XJS' brutish appearance, but if they float your boat you can buy one quite cheaply.

The provenance of the second one must be worth something, if you know who Charles Trenet was. I do, and I expect GHT does, being a gentleman of similarly mature years.

Charles qui?
Charles Trenet, who died in 2001, aged 87, was the most influential popular French songwriter of the mid-20th century. A performer of immense charm, with a light baritone voice of individual, caressing softness, he created a style veering between wistful nostalgia and exuberant bravado that withstood the bombardment of American pop music for more than 30 years. His most famous song, La Mer (The Sea), sold more than 70m records after its release in 1946.
