This should keep someone happy for a few hours. At least the MG badge is still working.

There's a fellow, who works on the industrial estate close to where I work, who's daily drive is a 1972 plastic pig, at least that's the moniker that it was known as back in the day. Powered by one of Henry's three litre engines, mated to a Borg Warner automatic gearbox, although the latter was only an option. They were reputed to be able to go well over the ton and do nought to sixty in a smidgen over ten seconds. The official name was The Reliant Scimitar. That sobriquet, plastic pig, came about when one was involved in a pile up and the damaged car, what was left of it, made the front page of the tabloids. This was at the same time that Princess Anne was involved in a crash in Kensington, London. She was driving her new Reliant Scimitar, which the press said, was presented to her by the Queen and Prince Philip. She was unhurt, but the front of her car was slightly damaged when it was in collision with the rear of a Ford Zephyr.

Here's the Scimitar that I see regularly. Never could take to it, much prefer the Volvo 1800ES.

Nah, you're alright Rich, I'll pass on that thanks. :)

I'm probably going to get rid of both of my currently usable cars, I've had enough of owning vehicles and am just as happy to enjoy the exploits of youtubers such as Ian "Hubnut" Seabrook and Steph "I drive a classic" Holloway as worry about my own motors. I may still buy a tractor though, as that could be useful, if a little short on the luggage space and performance fronts, but for driving along the beach at dead of night and waking up the grockles who think it's ok to live there, in their off grid campervans, for free and to the detriment of the rate at which coastal erosion is doing its thing at the bottom of the hill? Yeah, for that, a tractor is entirely justifiable. It's also a great way to combine driving and fresh air. Hmm, on second thoughts...
