Love the cabover! Is it my eyes playing tricks, or is the front bumper made from a slab of rather wonky timber?

According to the blurb, front bumper was timber, but now has a metal one as shown in some of the pics. Maybe woodworm got the better of it. Chevy small block in a Ford though? That will never do.....

Still, at least it's true to the thread headliner. More please.

Look away John if you don't like alterations from the original. I'm not sure of the story behind this but rumours suggest that it was converted after a rear end shunt. Made a good job of it though. The photos are from a Bookface page and as I don't do Bookface I can't enlarge them, but you can. Go to: https://en-gb.facebook.com/mgoneandaquarterlitre/ click on photos then you will see the album, click on that and you will get a full size image.

That has to be fairly priced for a rare Series 1 that hasn't broken its back. If only I had more space, more free labour and wasn't so used to aircon and comfy seats..

Keeping on track there, but Chevy? RHD? Pah! Don't want it, it's LHD all the way for me with my yank wreckers, especially when stepping out of the driver's seat on to the hard shoulder..... (Which I've done too many times BTW).
