I'm not exactly sure of the year of that, but a mate of mine has one about a year before/after that one, which has a slightly different grill. His has twin spare wheel mounts, and is a really lovely thing altogether. He may be persuaded to part with it, if you have the odd £35K going spare.....

I was offered the white Buick for a similar sum, it was tempting, sometimes when you have the dosh, it's easy to let your heart rule your head. Had I bought it, I would have had the same limited garage space I had with The Packard, that is unless I had the garage demolished and a bigger one built.

One of the most endearing memories of that Baddies car in Dr No was the squeeze on my arm, better known as the girlfriend. She was horrified that a young teenage boy liked the big sedan more than the Sunbeam Alpine. Inevitably we went our separate ways a few weeks later. Twenty years on from that relationship, my sister informed me that an ex girlfriend of mine was up in arms with the council for not providing her with a six bedroomed house for herself, husband and their eight children. On the newspaper cutting sis sent me of the ex's argument with the council was a handwritten annotation. Sis had written: "Dodged a bullet there, didn't you?"

Have you ever wondered where the inspiration came from for the headlights and grille of The Maestro?

That escapee from a feast somewhere looks more like a BMW 635 coupe than it does the Maestro.

Since when did two years and three months (to the day) qualify as "many years?" Bloody drama quean, get her!

And an Escort, even with a free shell included at the price, might be suffering from a case of Bambi syndrome, or is it/are they? Looks as though the MK3 is going the way of the rwd Escorts! Bloody Fords eh, why would you when a Toyota AE92 GTi or an Astra GTE of similar age can be had for around the same money in pretty much factory fresh condition?
Don't mind me, I'm just pee'd off to have missed several chances at really cheap MK3 Escorts which could have topped my pension fund up every bit as effectively as crumbling piles filled with destructive students and others - just as dull of thinking - who think it's ok to call me round from 200 miles away to change a bulb..
