breakdown truck

Getting a quote for mazda engine....
Re: breakdown truck
Good chap, here's hoping it'll work out for you. Meanwhile, please stop posting that particularly fine Maxi! I've had a couple of cheeky bids at it because even allowing for the apparent suspension imbalance, it does look really good and could work for me if the price were right and the bloody lockdown had ended. Otherwise, I'll just let it go to someone closer to it and satisfy myself with just having bought back my Discovery, which had thousands thrown at it by the bloke I sold it to, yet cost me less than he'd paid me for it last april! Now that's my favourite restoration technique..
Psst, wanna buy a near perfect Japanese Disco 300TDI automatic, a mere 330000KM from new, MOT 'til 29th of this month though it doesn't qualify for the extension because it's currently on a SORN.. Or so some kind soul had told the guy who bought it from me!

Re: breakdown truck
In fairness to myself, it's not just any old Discovery, but one that's found its way home .

Oh well, you may have missed a treat, or you may have dodged a bullet, never mind and better luck next time.
Liking the Fox, but liking this one more: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Reliant-Fox- ... 0009.m1982
Tandy also built a Maestro van-based mobile dwelling with a retractable high top that has solid sides, rather than a creaky "OMG, is it still attached properly?" type of fixed GRP roof (when the van dies, there's a good boat to be made from that) found on my beloved Yoda, whose top makes some alarming creaking noises as the interior warms up on the road.
But a kitten, or kitten-derived MPV is about as much use to me these days as roller skates are to a haddock, so even though they're frankly brilliant, massively underrated and amazingly good to drive (the kitten and its various relations, not the haddock accessories), the Disco (with the addition of suitable fixed steps) will be put to work again soon and possibly stored away when winter comes in to prevent its becoming scabby again. And no, I don't plan to get it muddy again either!

Re: breakdown truck
That's a nice van mate, how come its not part of your fleet? I could understand why anyone in their right mind would avoid anything maestro based...and just what's the point of spending good money on a 4x4 and not taking it out in bad weather or getting it dirty.. or hae you bought it for sentimental reasons ? If so i understand and it should be wrapped in cotton wool and polished weekly by a scantily clad ms friel..
