breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

That Minor pickup is so many shades of wrong that it caused an episode of diverticulitis and had me going at the other end simultaneously!

Fortunately, the Suzuki/Allegro made it all better but if the seller actually believes that they'll be able to keep a hold of the 52 plate, then they're kidding themselves.
The car is heading for one of these methinks:

Nice idea though but.

On a side note, notice how old some of those ads are?!

I wonder how often someone gets a call about a car they posted 2,3 or 4 years ago?

Not often enough to remind the poster to take down their ad, by the looks of things. C&C is just the same but ads can be taken down at any time so I've only a limited quantity of sympathy for folk who get calls from the other side of the planet in the middle of the night, asking after a car they listed in 2009 and had forgotten about.

I couldn't help but suggest a correction for this line from the writing that accompanies the pictures of the tastefully modified Wolseley:
If Anyone likes what they see, please contact me with any questions
So wanting to be helpful, I came up with what the author was really thinking:
If Anyone likes what they see, please contact GHT for a shot of his eye bleach
