Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Now that might be a money saving idea! My missus and I are considering spending some serious wonga. Either by restoring the MG's interior, bodywork and chrome, or, selling our Mercedes Sprinter van conversion and buying a flat-bed car carrier along with a vintage caravan.

A quick "artist's" impression of how that would look.

I may not have got that quite right but you get the idea
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

These Tabberts are really well equipped, what with central heating, bathrooms, snooker halls and even a built in greenhouse to keep you amused during those interminable caravanning "holidays" as they're optimistically called. I'd set one of these on a decent foundation and move in tomorrow if aliens kidnapped me and removed most of my brain beforehand.

"Home is where you park it", so the saying goes. That may yet come true..

There are a couple of perquisites before you can do that John:
You have to buy a flatbed transit and start offering to fix people's driveways for a small amount of money then charging a fortune.
Complain everyone hates you parking on grass verges / village squares / public parks and you like being able to go wherever you want.
THEN you can buy some land somewhere, preferably on a green belt then put down a concrete base and park your caravan on it without planning permission and wonder why everyone hates you even more than they did before.

Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.

Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Of course it wasn't an expensive car, how could they ever afford anything more than a clapped out rust bucket?
