pc

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Not just you rich I’m confused too :?:
Never play chess with a pigeon. It will knock all the pieces over, S*#t on the board and then strut around pretending it won.

Does it matter whether they do? I can't see any advantage as the parent company shot themselves well and truly in both feet by taking down the old one and telling us that it was coming back in early March, only to remove that claim from the home page a couple of weeks later.

Here, in this new board, we have some of the magazine staff and more of the old regular posters are coming by the day, I don't think anyone would ditch this board even if the original were to reappear, since this new facility is less likely to vanish, be SQL'd or otherwise break down in the middle of nowhere.

Once the other magazine staff writers find their way here, there'll be even less point in resurrecting the "official"** board.

**- A properly meaningless term in the world of internet bulletin boards, but you get the idea....

Well said, what is the point returning to a site they can pull the plug on any time they damn well please without anyone even being given chance to make arrangements, I had been waiting for a reply to a PM I sent that morning, needless to say, the recipient never got it thanks to their shabby tricks.

I'd certainly be wary of joining up to anything they have a hand in.

I think I shall be quite happy to stay here TBH, at least Neil is hardly likely to just pull the plug. :D

Heres a thought for you all!!

If the parent company has pulled pc's forum and other classic car mag's forums.
Why not get those guys on here too.

I mean yes they are a little different the mag's but those who posted on the forums,
their in the same boat so to speak.

As I understand it, Bauer will not be restarting another official PC forum. This unoffical fan forum is it all there will be.

Cheers,
Brett.

Someone needs to tell the bauer webmaster to change this:
"Missing the PC forum?
The old PC forum is no more, but don't despair. A new fan-forum will soon be up and running. See the March issue of Practical Classics for details. "

to a link for the new unofficial forum. Many more old users will return if there was an official notice on the home page informing people of the "change in management"
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Me too. Is its creator on Retro Rides perhaps? Maybe he's as yet unaware of the existence of this place?

Stick "bimmerforum tattoo studio" into google and you'll find an update on the BMW into Escort Mk1. The forum appears to be down at the moment, but visible on the cache.
