Popular Classics Site

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Popular Classics Site

#1 Post by karlsgazelle » Fri Dec 23, 2011 5:34 pm

Does anybody here know what's happening over at the popular classics forum? It seems that nobody wants to activate new accounts and one can't contact any of the mods either without an active username.

One of the admins from popclass is a member here (mrotwoman), so maybe a pm to him would work?

Not any longer he isn't.

Leave it with me, I'll try and sort it.

Cheers, :D

Hi,
The forum address changed recently to www.popular-classics.co.uk

It would appear that you are a registered member there Karl,so hopefully won't have any problems getting on :)
Have you forgotten that once we were brought here we were robbed of our names, robbed of our language,we lost our religion, our culture, our God? And many of us by the way we act,we even lost our minds.

It looks as if it has now gone, ??

I was a member of this for over 10 years or round about, until an argument with Matt, when he removed my blog with out consultation

then he banded me.

looked in on it occasionally, but now looks as if it may have gone, i might be mistaken.

if you google it said
Popular-Classics :: View Forum

Free forums are a niche tool and the lack of audience they attract no longer make it possible for us to operate. We will be shuttting down at the end of February ...
anybody have update ?

sad to see it go even though i was no longer a member .

Sad indeed. I also used to pop in now and again, however it did seem extremely quiet on there, I got the impression that most folk had just naturally started using facebook for the kind of interaction they were looking for. I hope that any remaining members who like the traditional forum style will realise we're still here and that they're warmly welcome to come and post here, some of them have some interesting cars.

The original site host was closing down, so they've set up here:
