N Korean leader Kim Jong-il dies

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Perhaps now he's dead, people will start to like him. Reminds me of this - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T17VzztS ... re=related.

I saw a documentary about what went on in NK prison (re-education) camps a few years ago. Many who spoke worked in the camps before escaping to the South.

One woman was told to feed a line of prisoners some black cabbage leaves. By the time she was half way down the line, the first to eat were already on the floor dying in agony.

Families were placed in glass rooms and gassed to see how they behaved while dying compared to groups of strangers.

Truly horrifying and no way of stopping it without risking WW3.

Hope the glorious leaders demise was long, excruciating and messy.

It said on the news tonight that he will be replaced by his Son

REunification will ruin South Korea financially so it will be interesting to see if the son carries on the family tradition of blood letting or decides that starving his subjects to death is not a good look anymore. The only thing stopping reunification is the Chinese government who have supported the Kims for almost 60 years.
