The BBC has redesigned it's Homepage

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

The BBC has redesigned it's Homepage

#1 Post by Mitsuru » Thu Dec 01, 2011 12:59 pm

I have just written an email of complaint to the BBC over their redesign of the
Home page!
Please go and look and decide for your self!

There are blogs on the 'Points Of View' forum but these are not listened to and
the feedback will be looked at by the consultants or the idiots who say this design
is perfect and not by the management!

The overall display you would expect from a cheap supermarkets sales magazine,
(think cheaper than aldi) which is not what the license fee payer would expect from
the BBC Nor do you wish to be looking at what others say they like, it look as
thought there is nothing but these celebrity stories.

Which I think are a waste f space both in the person & the person reporting upon
them, so why do I have to put up with them.It is quite clear that I would not be the
only person who thinks that just because something is newer it is not always
better!

And this redesign is along the lines of when coca cola changed it's taste the new
taste was dropped after the public & not the consultants, voted with their feet.

There are many BLOGS of complaint on this which are never listened/responded too!

So please write what you think and complain email or letter anything.
I'm Diabetic,& disabled BUT!! NOT DEAD YET!!

I think that looks pretty good. As long as the news, weather and iplayer buttons are in a handy place i don't really bother with the rest.

Likewise, can't see the problem, looks pretty good to me.

To be honest, I think that if this is someone's biggest problem, then a) the rest of their little life must be pretty darn good and b) they've probably got too much time on their hands.

I'd swap that minor irritation for my problems in a hearbeat.

Nor me, looks perfectly fine, scrollable news feed up top works well and allows quick and easy access to what you want. Really can't see a problem?????
