What have you been doing To-day?

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

What have you been doing To-day?

#1 Post by Loveclassics » Sat Feb 26, 2011 8:26 pm

Hello there,

What have you been doing To-day?

We have been looking for a second-hand 3 piece suite for about 3 years and finally we have got a nice leather one. It is in very good condition and got it delivered this evening. It only cost £100 including delivery, which I think is a real bargain. I will take some photos and upload them tomorrow.

That was a shame, any way I love those Triumph Stags.

Apart from a little work on the model railway, it's been pretty dull in my little world today! However, the afternoon looked promising so I eventually got one of the tractors out and took it for a run to lift its spirits.

I had intended a "quick" run for about a mile in each direction, but called at a friend's for five minutes on the way home and, as I haven't seen him for a month, the five minutes ended up as two hours!

I must admit, the drive was boring compared to the last time I had that tractor out. That was during the snow and I was drifting the thing up the hill on the packed ice/snow mix to our house!

Finished bolting my freshly retrimmed seats into the Moke. :)
Fixed the back door slider on the house.
Replaced the lights plug on the car trailer after a muppet who borrowed it, damaged it. Got wet in the process, as it rained!
Washed and vacuumed the Moke and Pathfinder.
Not a bad effort for a Sunday.

Installed newly re-cored radiator in the Matra, then found as I was re-filling it that one of the water pipe mounting brackets in the engine bay has fractured. :(

Rebuilt the sticking brakes in the GT6; f**ked up the caliper, f**ked up the brake pipe... I'm losing my touch!
Still, got it back on the road at 3pm and out for a spin.

I have walking the dog and putting the rubbish out for collection tomorrow. My website is now in my sig, but it does need updating. I will show what classic cars I have seen to-day later.

Yesterday i went out and bought a "new" bonnet and ns/f wing for my RR and fitted them. nice to have some that the colour matches properly rather than the sun faded old ones.
Next sunday's job is to replace the os/f wishbone on the focus.
