Walking through doorways causes forgetting

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

Walking through doorways causes forgetting

#1 Post by Mitsuru » Thu Nov 24, 2011 2:13 am

Found a link to this story on the neons forum.

In college, it was rumoured that you should study in the same
or similar classroom that you expect to take the exams.

Mind you I forgot what I was originally searching that forum for!

Wow! How glad am I that I found this thread. I've been forgetful since I got to 40, and assumed that this was normal. Now, however, I've removed all of the doors from my house so that I'm no longer susceptible to this phenomenon.
It's freezing in here and without a door on the airing cupboard, the wind keeps blowing the boiler's pilot light out oh, and the neighbours have taken to watching me take a bath as they now have line of sight through the house but hey, as long as the old forgettory carries on working, it'll all be worth it in the end. :D

"Home is where you park it", so the saying goes. That may yet come true..
