Has anyone else noticed what crap elastic bands are these days, they used to be really good.....are they all <MOD EDIT> made now ?????
even the postmans bands he leaves (red type) are the same........hope i have not posted this before

Yeah, you're right - I think they've changed the compound to make them "bio-degradable", trouble is if you keep some to use later, by the time you do they've "bio-degraded"!!

I still have a 1990 Post Office elastic band.... but does it qualify as a classic? :D

Fred Dibnah made reference to matches not being what they were, in one of his programmes; he said they now seem to have short grained wood.

Nah, a Post Office elastic band will never be a classic, the only classic ones were used on the Morris Minor or Porche production line ...... :evil:
