Coleford car show

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

I rather like the Forest of Dean.....the Dean Forest Railway and the Woodman Inn at Parkend. For various reasons, not just pandemic, I've not been since 2019.

A long shot but does anyone know Clarence Harper, who lived in Coleford and who I knew in my hillclimbing days? He'd be a good age by now. When I knew him, he drove and Audi Coupe (Looked like the Quatro) and I know he had worked in a VW garage (Once told me how one of the fitters put a gearbox into a Type 2 upside down, so that it had four reverse and one forward gear). He had a very broad Forest dialect, whilst his wife spoke what would once have been called BBC English. They were a nice couple.
Rules exist for the obedience of fools and the guidance of wise men.

MG Midget 1500, MGB GT V8, Morris Minor Traveller 1275, MG Midget 1275 & too many bicycles.
