Re: breakdown truck
Hell aye, but not with a manual gearbox. A nice L series Toyota Diesel engine, with AW45 transmission and the accompanying transfer case, would go well in that though. I'm loving the look of the van though. Is the "Sanitary" a Covid resistant model, do you suppose, or does it come with a particularly impressive on board bathroom suite?Rich wrote:Does this suit you?

No ta, did you have something in mind? If you've found a spotless, JDM Land Cruiser or Hilux Surf then yes, that kind of "tractor" would definitely be of interest.Rich wrote: Are you still looking for a tractor?

Re: breakdown truck
Sanitary: adjective, relating to the conditions that affect hygiene and health, especially the supply of sewage facilities. In other words it's a posh way of saying that it looks like shite. I concur.

John, knowing your aesthetic this might appeal, it's been sitting there, collecting rare species of moss and lichen, for more years than I can remember. It needs the kiss that turns frogs into princes.

Re: breakdown truck
FB link by any chance? They're blocked across all of my devices now. It's easier than going through removing their sneaky cookies one by one!
I reckon that the link probably led to something rare, desirable and orange... or a car. I'm having strong urges to buy some form of extra vehicle to replace the van now that it's about to head off to a lucky soul who wants to fit a new interior and have the body wrapped in a graded front to rear colour sweep with paw prints in gold. I'd have settled for pitching my tent inside the van, much easier than removing a complete load of furniture temporarily when next I need to pick up a new (to me, I'm never buying split new again) vehicle. I shall miss the tall van though.
I've even been looking at Sprinters with the automatic option, which is a really good one these days, and the far less common 4wd because I'll need something that can get me up a mountain in December. I do have a Surf on my eBay spotcher just now too. It's the blue 1997 P plate one that's on just up the road in the Portobello neck of the woods.
