breakdown truck

Got something to say, but it's not classic related? Here's the place to discuss. Also includes the once ever-so-popular word association thread... (although we've had to start from scratch with it - sorry!)

That recovery bus is worth dozens of these:  , in my opinion. What a lovely old thing.
As for that stretched VW;
Kill the thing now! It was made from three Beetles, says the listing, so where's the sense in that? There appears to be very little space in there whereas three Beetles would carry twelve people so why cut them up to create something that looks so, erm, trying to be kind, failing, aesthetically challenged? Three regular cars would be able to cover three jobs at once and getting them onto the hoist at MOT time would be easier as they would go through one at a time!
Still, whatever floats your boat. But to my eyes, the VW is uglier than something that fell out of the top of the ugly tree and hit every branch on its way down.

There's a nice looking 1302 convertible in one of the pictures, now that's a rare and desirable VW so please, someone stop the Bug Butcher before that one also gets the stretch treatment. ;)

Aesthetically challenged? I was beginning to think that there was no such expression. Drooling over Austin Maxis, Eastern Bloc cars uglier than the female shot putter from The Ukraine. that wedge shaped monstrosity a week or so ago. The stretched Beetle is, I agree, pathetic, but if you are going to stretch something original...............
