UK Classic Insurance

Seems that there are too many brokers all trying to confuse things.
I have 4 classic cars, is there any insurance company in the UK that can offer a package on all 4, given that I can only drive one of them at a time.

thanks

I've got two of mine with RH insurance, worth a call to them?

They've always been pretty good, mind you I've never had to claim.

Cheers - and welcome to the forum!

The car club I belong to work with RH, Footman James and Peter James Insurance.

RH has recently been sold by Hiscox and is now owned by A-Plan. Shouldn't impact cover though.

Just an update.

I found Phil Beck of Peter James Insurance to be the significantly more knowledgeable than another insurance agent I have spoken to.

He understood things about imported cars that no other agent understood and had solutions for each issue.

Given his knowledge I would recommend Phil.

That's worth keeping in mind, thanks for that. When I was in business with my brother we had a fleet of vans, mainly Sprinters, we always found that a commercial broker could better any deal the big insurers quoted. Having access to Lloyds of London saved us quite a few shekels over the years.

Most interesting. :)

Does Phil Beck - or any other Peter James person - mirror NCD for every car on a policy, whether that car is an import, a 1960s BMC product or a split new, daily runabout? If so, then they're a real alternative (to A-Plan, who have been insuring my imported and otherwise "different" cars for the past five years) for owners of imports as well as older, UK supplied vehicles.
The more competition there is, the better. I've even used Direct Line :o for one of my imports when it would have been a car too many for the (four car) key policy, they knew what it was, found the exact spec and didn't mistake it for the maker's more popular, UK sold cars. 8-)
