Still within that three and a half grand budget, here's a top of the range ADO16, The Vanden Plas 1300. Only problem is, I can't find the seller's location. It's probably staring me in the face.

But if you can afford to push the boat out by another £750, (£4250) this Wolseley 1300 version has had just two owners, the first had the car for 42 years. It's got all invoices and documentation from new in a file. Strange thing though, I checked location, just got a flag on a blank map. It also said it was LHD, yet the photo clearly shows it to the contrary.

It's curious how some badges on the car make it more desirable than others. The Riley Kestrel regularly sells in excess of five grand, this one at three seven fifty looks the part. But is it a quick sale or a bag of problems?

This Austin version might be worth a look, less than three grand (£2750) and less than 30K miles, with MOT certificates to prove it.

Remember that earlier post for the MG1100? Well the price has been reduced.

And just to complete the family, this MK2 Morris in beige
comes in right on budget at three and a half grand. Low mileage too, but a bit of a treck up to Northampton. Guilty confession, I lived in the county back in the eighties, the missus and I still make the journey as often as possible to see The Saints play Rugby. Here's that Morris.
