Hears a good tip for those with heavy steering ......grease the front tyres all over it will make the steering much lighter and also reduce tyre wear to almost zero

I find fan belt grease the most effective

True, or, you could have a go in a late 1950's Scammel truck, with it's twelve speed crash gearbox, non power steering, non cancelling indicators, non self parking wipers, no windscreen washers, no two speed or intermittent wipers, and whilst you are concentrating on all that you have to contend with a big noisy engine, with it's engine cowl jammed up against your left leg.
Took my HGV test in one. (Don't you dare post the drool emoticon.)
