:? Hmm.. Rear wiper adornment borrowed from the car in the "Worst Cars" thread, "funny" stickers and the world's most expensive Fiesta (front) and Escort van (rear) lighting almost make me want this. Almost. However, every time I look at eBay motors, I find something that appeals to me and today, I found this:

...which ticks some boxes, but it's crying out for a camper interior and a repaint in semi-gloss bright orange. 8-)

You like Packard, really? Turning it an dayglo orange RV though, only you John, only you.
I was into Packards once upon a time, I'm still into wide lapel suits, with wide bottomed trousers, turn ups and of course, the fedora hat.

There's just some intangible thing about the Packard brand that always draws me to an example whenever I get lucky enough to see a Packard in the wild. I don't know what it is, but some day, I have to ride in one. I also need to try out an Atlantean bus before I end my time on this planet. I rode in a couple during visits to Newcastle back in the late seventies & early eighties and observed that the drivers of these buses always seemed to be enjoying their work as, apparently, they handle pretty well for a vehicle that's as high as my house and as long as my drive.

I like the fact that I've now seen a Reliant Rialto made to "look like" an American police car.. NEXT! I like the Enfield too, everyone likes a Chevette and that one looks pretty straight but the Beetle is amazing, even if it's one of many modified that way, admittedly very rarely to that standard. But, after a quick search, I found a Bug that's very different, thanks to an alternative Japanese powertrain:

 @ the DKW. I run a small, weird looking van-shaped device as daily transport and that cost me roughly a fourteenth of the DKW's asking price so surely [the DKW's] rarity "tax" can't be that much? 'Tis nice and as we seem to have wandered into the realm of stuff that I would like if it were built to fit, deserves its place in the thread, IMHO.

Meanwhile, what with my not having found my Metro Cab, Fridolin or anything else that ticks the boxes yet, the car fund has grown, thanks to bank interest and the odd top up, by an amazing 0.08%. Whoopee!
