Spot welding arms
I have a old but very good sealey spot welder with a separate timer - problem being that the arms / throat of machine only allows for about 100mm of depth - for some reason spot weld arms are stupid money £200 - £300 +, eventually after much research I found some angled electrodes that with a bit of modification fit my machine and now extend the throat to circa 200mm
the cost was under £60 so money well spent in my book - I still want to extend the arms so have now ordered a metre length of 25mm diameter copper bar (£36) which I will have to machine to fit but should now be able to make up a pair of 300mm reach arms that will accept straight electrodes + the angled ones which will extend the arms a further 100mm hence giving a 400mm reach in total which should be good enough for most panels 1937 Jowett 8 - Project - in less pieces than the Jupiter
