Only if you're certain that's being used as a holiday home by the English.

I think the problem is the French. They are all high on cheese, garlic and wine.

We too sold up in London 2 1/2 years ago - a nice one bedroom early Edwardian house conversion - flat on the fringes of Maida Vale - got 5 x what we paid for it and purchased a much nicer 3 bed detached period Methodist Chapel conversion in a great little Hampshire village, fab neighbours, 2 bay garage with loft above - parking for another 6 motors - loads of unrealised potential in the Chapel which we are just on with - still had a decent lump of change out of the move and have never looked back since :D

Hmm, be careful mate, there's nothing worse than cheese breath! Garlic and wine are ok, 'cos they cancel each other out.

Does cheddar even count as cheese on the wrong side of the channel?

I thought that UK-sourced cheese was used - almost exclusively - in the automotive electrics industry over there, in foreign parts. It was an idea they got from Lucas back in the sixties, the cheese and smoke technique for circuit design is losing f(l)avour now though.
