WIN 2 Tickets to Practical Classics Restoration & Classic Car Show, 5-6 March 2016
Hi I hope I've posted this in the best thread?!
We're running a competition to Win 2 Free Tickets to Practical Classics Restoration & Classic Car Show, 5-6 March 2016 at the NEC arena in Birmingham.
I thought MG car enthusiasts either visiting the UK at that time or living here may be interested in entering:

Thanks and best of luck!

Only a couple of entries so far... To be fair we were a bit slow putting the competition up. Good news is that anyone entering will be in with a really good chance of winning!

The thread on the MG board in the link says that this is only open to members of that board, maybe that's why?rich. wrote:no takers?

Jessica heard that, now you've upset her. If she throws a strop and refuses to start...............JPB wrote:The thread on the MG board in the link says that this is only open to members of that board, maybe that's why?

Looks like I've got to spend the night in the garage consoling her.

Were you really in the MG club? You are right, there are some seriously weird people there.
At some event, might have been Goodwood, I was asked by an MGB owner, which MG club I was in. "None," I said, thinking nothing of it. WHY? He demanded. Not, you should consider it, because of this, that and the other. But why, in an almost menacing way. "Because of arseholes like you," was my first thought, but didn't say it. I did say: "What's it got to do with you?" He went on the back foot then.
I've had that a number of times. Someone from the Singer & Standard club got really snotty with me just for dressing up in period style. I thought it was a tease, but he really meant it. And when I told another w@nker that I pay someone to service and take care of my car, he threw a wobbly telling me that ownership was all about the fun of maintaining the vehicle and sourcing the parts. So, if it's alright with you, I'll stick around here, at least the banter here is only tongue in cheek.

There's good and bad in every crowd, but the only individuals I've ever felt inspired to punch, when they've said stupid, ignorant and in a couple of case downright bigoted stuff, are from.. Oops! My computer is running out of words, you'll need to make up your own minds.

i was an mg owner & went to several shows.. most owners were quite helpful but some were just plain rude.. now i stick to the old adage, i wouldn't join a club that would have me as a member..
