My Honda lawn mower had a blocked jet and wouldn't rev.
To clean the brass jet l heated the jet up and quenched the jet fast in water.
The heat burnt off the petrol varnish and the thermal shock blasts the ash away.
Petrol varnish or lacquer is commom on cars left standing.
