Where to find parts

#1 Post by thejimachine » Wed Mar 11, 2015 6:45 pm

HI,

First post here, so be nice :p

My reason for this post is that i am hunting down parts for an Austin 10 Sherbourne that i am restoring for a friend.
I have hunted high and low and the best resource i have found so far was Alderton Austin, but i can't get any response via email or phone.

I was watching Car S.O.S today and they did an Austin 12/4 and seemed to find loads of parts from specialists across the UK. If i could find out where they went i'm sure i could find everything i need. It's been stored well and will only need perishables like bushes, tyres and such like.

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Jimmy

Hello Jimmy, you're in the right place! I say this because "Workshop Phil" (and Fuzz) from SOS are forum members, so if anyone will know where they bought their parts, thæ fellas will.

They are both very friendly and approachable, I doubt they would mind receiving a PM about the show.
Phil is Phil P
and Fuzz is fuzztownshend

Sure & a big star - like our Phil - would have a personal assistant to do that for him? After they'd finished peeling his grapes and pouring him a double Horlicks on the rocks.. ;)
