Car mascot

#1 Post by olliesgirl » Mon Jul 28, 2014 6:56 pm

I have a 'silver' car mascot in the shape of a bee/wasp - it does not have a pointy tail. Can anyone tell me help identify it and suggest a good place to sell it. Many thanks

Many of these Hood mascots were personal to the owner and don't always represent the car make they are fitted to,But if it was from a car then someone here will no doubt tell you what it is.

I was a bit confused by the quote in the advert mentioned above (and I now see the same quote appears to be in all of their adverts) where it says the following . . . . .
Manufactured by craftsmen in England, these are the same hood ornaments that adorn the vehicles of the British Royal family!
Is that really true . . . :?:

Perhaps they mean they come from the same manufacturer - but they cannot be "the same" as used on Royal vehicles.

Just looked again at that advert - at $395, I don't think I'll bother buying one . . . :!:

Mike

Edit - on another page they list over 300 Hood Ornaments !!
