These cars are great!.....really does make me want a classic of some kind, my dad had an Avenger GLS (I think) in the 70s, red/orange with the vinyl roof, and seats the burned your a**s in the summer (when we got good summers back then  )

Great cars all, but my favourite has to be the red Princess Six.

Our little Maxi gathering was then joined by the lovely Damask red example.
I think that one was for sale on the Maxi Club website a couple of years ago, but I've not seen it since. :(

Here's my latest find, at a local meet. :-

 Holy lost admin guy revival, Bnicho! Don't suppose you know what became of Terry do you? Is there a pasture somewhere, on which admins graze in the sun as they recover from the stress of viewing so many images of fine BL vehicles from days gone by?
:scared:

GHT- My (not Dad's, the Datsun to his left in the image was his as he'd given up owning Maxis by 1989, when that pic was taken) Maxi was a '79 "MK 1 & 1/2" which had velour seats in place of the vinyl found in 1978, these cars also came with slimmer armrests on the rear doors, meaning that the weary traveller could make the bed without opening the doors. A good idea as the need to sleep in a Maxi usually happened in pouring rain and darkness. How on earth it took BL eleven years from the car's introduction to work this out is anyone's guess.

Rich, every car forum should have its share of time-travelling aliens.

Sorry, no idea what happened to Terry. I'd pretty much forgotten this forum existed. I was shocked when a thread update landed in my inbox! 😁
