I've just fitted a pair of reconditioned brake calipers.

This is the best way to go. Reconditioned calipers are like new ones and you're helping the environment by recycling.

Swapping out the idler pulleys on the YJ. Lost the cool sounding 'turbo whistle' noise, but gained the reassurance that the pulleys won't fail and fall off!

Errrr, no. :-) On the bright side the YJ is now red, and no longer a delicate shade of faded pink!

Replacing a Dizzy, Rotor arm in a very small engine bay had to remove the top part of the engine just to remove the dizzy.

Refit not so long started up on the button. So must have done it right :D

I spent yesterday cutting out rust and making repair panels. Lots of small-ish ones (a few inches square) even the shaped ones went in with no problem. The largest one about 18" by 10", nicely cut to fit, just needed to fold one edge down, put it in the folder, walk back to the car intending to weld it in line it up and realise that I have folded it the wrong way. ARGH.
Never mind, It gives me something to do next week when I'm off.

Oh and grinders are REALLY good at removing skin. Even if you are wearing Kevlar gloves they go through them like butter. Fortunately only a 4" square graze, no serious damage.

I had a couple of spare hours today so ran new plumbing for my LPG system 8mm line front to rear, new filter and vaporiser. New wiring for the tank solenoids and fuel level sender. Extended the fuel pump wiring and routed it differently so it is all nice and tidy.
Tomorrows jobs will involve re-wiring both rear ABS sensors and the passenger side rear EAS height sensor.
Once that's done I can tidy up some welds and put the floor back in :D (it is so much easier working "under" the car when you are above it)

I really should take some pictures and update my thread.
Today I have got the front section of my rear floor back in, EAS sensor wiring replaced. ABS sensor wiring replaced, rear brake lines and flexi-hoses replaced. One patch on to the rear passenger floor, 3 more to do. All the welds for the boot floor supports dressed and painted.

Hopefully one more day of work (next weekend) will see the boot floor back in, the rear passenger floor solid then I can under seal it and put the rear wings back on.

You could say progress has been slow as I don't think I have driven the car since May!
