Why have I NEVER had an engine bay like that one :o :(

Oh well, would probably be wasted on the North coast where rust is king.

I cut out the entire drivers side floor of the Riley including the rear seat base today and then spent an hour freeing off the brake pedal and deciding where to go from there with a coffee and a smoke :P

Then I had to look for pictures of Anna Friel with a Maxi, then a Riley, but couldn't find any :( Wonder whos fault that was ;)

I blame her agent. Poor lassie never did get enough classic car-related work. :(

Oops! Shame on me for failing to recognise one of those lovely, limited edition Capris. :P What threw me was the fact that it's not black with gold stripes. ;)

Today I removed the damaged HIF38 carby from the Moke and replaced it with a HIF44.

I damaged the old one by changing the steering rack and allowing the bottom of the carby to hit the bulkhead.

Did you really have an HIF38 on a 1275? I thought that the 1275 came with the HIF44 from the factory.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Some of the non-sporty 1275 A+ had the smaller carby. The 44 seems to have improved the mid-range a bit. I'll know more when I can take it for a decent run.
