I saw these classics to-day ( I'm using library pictures for rare ones):
1. Citroen Ami 8 (the one I saw had French number plates)
2. Reliant Scimitar
3. Hillman Super Minx Estate (It was the same one as I saw about a week ago)
4. Ford WW2 US Army Staff Car (it did look like the one in the photo)
5. VW Beetle
6. VW Traveler

Nice GTC, shame you hadn't the chance to see one of those "in the flesh", they're rather lovely.

et al has five mains, tough things right enough, but for an IL4 that's

Meanwhile, there's a fella who lives around the corner and has a tractor obsession. I often hear him starting his '60s bit of agricultural kit but tonight I saw him as he drove it across the green to the pub. Must have a piccie of that here some time, IMHO.
Actually they just look like CHevy Straight 6 engines, they were exclusive to Vauxhalls, unlike, say, the Rover V8 they are unrelated to any American GM engine. I know, I have 1 and the pieces of another one over here
And yes, FD Ventora... wish I could find a nice LHD FD!

Today I saw a black etype jag hard top on a J plate driving through Leytonstone, an M plate 2CV in Greenwich and another 2CV on a trailer going up the M1.
Now the weather is warming up people are bringing their toys out of the garage

Anyway, to the point.
Seen today, another enormous American contraption from the '60s, some kind of Chrysler I think, struggling to get around the traffic at the King's Arms in Berwick. A very clean A40 Farina in Embassy or Maroon B, never could tell those apart. Keef! Hey-ulp. Not one, nor two but four Minors at various points between Edinburgh and Alnwick and a tasty Renault 30TX in Slate Green metallic. I only know the name of the hue in question 'cos one of my 12s was that colour.

Saw a wonderful Singer Gazelle on my way home on Saturday finished in a lovely shade of deep red.
Great to see these cars still out there putting in real miles on real roads not locked away when not being trailered from show to show like so much elegant scrap. In my opinion of course....

Seen in Woking several times recently, indeed today, a very smart looking Cortina MK2 GT two door in Red.
I also frequently see a MK3 Crayford Corty when I'm working an early shift.
Also a diamond white W plate 3.0 S Capri seen in Sanisburys car park yesterday - Bit tatty round the edges but wouldn't say no
And today an Austin Seven bumbling along.
Nice to see them being used!
