Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Saw a late (Chunky bumper type) Allegro this morning, parked banger fashion, on the side of the road, with all the "Moderns". Whether you think of the car as the Allagro is besides the point; it has clearly been looked after to still be around and looked sound. It would be a pitty if some coal in the bath merchant wrecks it.
Then I saw an N reg (1974 - 5) electric milk float in Abergavenny, still apparently working for a living.

a very tidy talbot horizon in town recently
Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
The only car ever to be available with an electric window on one door only, as far as I know. I like those, especially their torsion bar suspension and that rattle from the engine. Quite why the Dodge-badged version did away with the bars in favour of coils and struts is anyone's guess, maybe Americans are frightened of anything more comfortable?

Spending the weekend at The Southwick Revival. A wartime vintage event. Plenty of re-enactors but very few civilian cars. We were invited because the model that is my MG, was designed, built and produced pre-war but suspended during the hostilities. Production resumed after the war. I hope to get some good photos, I might even take the tour bus.
