What classic vehicles have you seen?
Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
I used something called a "Taxi" today as I was at a lunch which involved compulsory drinking or risking being passed over at the obligatory interview for my own job.
Anyway, this "Taxi" was a Sierra, one with the later, non-Peugeot Diesel engine.
It smelt of wee and stale chips.
Next time, I'll insist on exercising my right to drink water at meetings and drive myself, in a car that doesn't stink of stale chips quite so badly....
There was a (1948?) Austin 12 - of the type driven by that heartbeat character who lives with her nephew and a shaggy labradoodle - in the car park at work today, it wasn't there for long and was parked in a space reserved for BoT members. Hoorah! Can this mean the end of the LEA's bulk Prius-buying policy?

A very nice J-reg Morris Minor in green parked at the side of the road in Rathfriland Co. Down. Presumably parked outside the owner's house; saw it on my way home from work at 11pm. Even under the orange streetlights you could see it was gleaming.

Gentleman up the street from me has a Vanden Plas Princess 4 Litre R sitting in his driveway.
Worth mentioning that this is in New Jersey of all places. Old British Saloons are extremely rare here.

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
These are the classics that I saw to-day:
1. VW Beetle
2. MGB
3. Morris Minor
4. Porsche 944
5. Austin Allegero Estate
6. Volvo 480S
7. Mercedes Traveler (see photo below)
8. Citroen 2CV (see photo below)
If you are wondering why there is a young man in the 2CV photo. It is a garage and he thought I am mad for liking cars like the 2CV.

Re: What classic vehicles have you seen?
Saw a flat black rat-rodded 55 Buick yesterday in someone's driveway in The Bronx, NY on the way to Boston.
Was at a gas station, umm, Petrol station this evening and saw a 450SEL 6.9 and a nice looking E28 528e (what BMW called the 525e in America). Growing up in the 80s and 90s E28s were EVERYWHERE around here, nowadays you very rarely see them.

Saw an F type Vauxhall Victor on the back of a flatbed heading toward the M1 junction on the M25...looked ripe for restoration.
