A black Jaguar XK150 just drove past.

Two classic Maidstone & District buses in my village today. I couldn't tell you what they were, but guessing the second, with a 1968 G-suffix plate, was a Leyland of some sort.

Loads around today, in spite of the earlier mini-spring having gone and us back into the usual sh*te weather.

Lovely MK1 Golf GTI in the must-have bright red shade seen rounding Cullercoats (between Tynemouth and Whitley for those who didn't know) in a most spirited fashion this afternoon, then a 2004 registered Beetle of the South American variety parked just by the fish quay at Shields.
1967 registered Porsche 911 (912?) in stunning and very bright green seen on the Side at Blyth.
1973/74 M-plate MK3 Cortina, unusual as it was a 1300 fleet version with stock wheels and no bling. Better at that IMHO.
1986/87 D-plate Capri - didn't remember the reg or I'd have looked it up on the DVLA site to check whether it was blue or green, I don't always know the difference - seen in a back street just off Sandyford Road and, on the way back up home after my day doing stuff down in the Newcastle and NT areas, a pack (or are they a herd, flight, flock, murder, pride, gang or troupe?) of various BMC minis, colours assorted.

I found it encouraging that so many of these were post-'73 cars. Either lots of people are risking being hammered for driving the day before their show season 6-month VED becomes active or more people are keeping their old motors taxed for 12 months these days.

Spotted at my local Sainsbury's today.

I also saw a MK1 Triumph 2000. I flashed my headlights and the driver waved to me (I was in the Dolomite).
