Petrol cap for my car

To cut a long story short I have lost the petrol filler cap to my Minx. Does anyone know if they are likely to be generic on a fifties car or does anyone recognise the fitting from the photo below as being similar to another car.
The tab inside does not form part of the cap locking and other than the round hole there is just two 'nipples' at 2 and 8 oclock.
Ideas anyone?

I have seen filler caps for these on fleabay quite regularly, but not sure if they fit other cars too.
Mine looks the same as yours I think:

Just to remind you what your cap looked like

I was about to say that seems like a good swap Minxy but instead I'll suggest, if you haven't already, you contact Speedy Spares in Shoreham who inherited the stock of RJ Grimes Motors when they shut down. I never cease to be amazed at the range of NOS rootes parts that've both come up with for me over the years

Thanks chaps.
Karl? Could you do me a massive favour and measure the inside diameter of your filler neck? As you say they look identical - mine is 44mm

Not if he used that new-fangled petrol that comes in litres. You can't drive in imperial using metric petrol.
