TangoFanta-stic made it to PeteBogHorror. We did have wiper issues when they stopped mid sweep in a really heavy downpour on the A34, a swift clout to motor soon had them working again, even if I did get soaked in the 30 seconds I was out the car  Then it popped the kevlar hose that had been fitted between pump cover and heater hose connections a mile away from the hotel, a trawl through the autojumble eventually found a hose that would kinda fit, rather than having to chop up one of several Allegro bottom hoses for sale just to get a short piece of straight hose. Stormer of a run home, and with it being Ford Fair the same day at Silverstone, plenty of classic (and modern) Blue Ovals out and about. I do hope those sat on the A34 with bonnets up got home ok.

SD3 is being prodded and poked underneath, as more bits of what was once bodywork falls off, and the fuel hose that split to the filter has now been replaced it runs again and is fuel tight.

Before doing any work on the neon, I did a repair to the old trailer which I had told my
father how to repair it a few times in the past year or so!

On the old trailer the towbar ball receiver has a clip which locks the receiver mechanism
in place by locking the handle. The spring which is supposed to push the clip over the
receiver must have been the original from new in the 60's/70's and was bust. To fix this
I removed the bolt after the nut sheared off, and removed the old wire. The replacement
was the spring from an old crocodile clip from a jump lead, why because the alternative
was to have been a spring from a wooden cloths peg but mother had nicked em all!

A fair few swear words as that spring went flying onto the grass or the tree branches
behind me! it took an hour to get it sorted. (safety glasses as it did hit me in the face
twice)

The cost of replacing the receiver assembly would have been expensive and time consuming
considering the age of the trailer!
I'm Diabetic,& disabled BUT!! NOT DEAD YET!!

Despite the weather I had a lovely trouble free trip in the MG to Shoreham in Kent. Fantastic drive mainly on B roads, and the sun even came out around 2:30 :).

In a word: Welding.
Brushing crud, making repair sections and welding.
On the plus side my Chassis is almost solid again now.

Pushing the new Project Mini into the garage that used to be occupied by the Riley.

Pleased to find that I can fit the mini along with 4 motorcycles, and some junk with room for another bike or two into the same area :o :D

Minis are great. I used to have a "convertible" one that I could park in the back of my dad's transit. Very handy way of getting more cars in the garage!

I've just fitted a relay to the dipped headlights on my Dolomite.

It is situated next to the battery to keep the cable runs as short as possible. Unfortunately, one of my sealed beam units failed but it won't be a major problem because I'll be doing a halogen conversion soon.
