How to make images appear smaller

Recently we have had a lot of images linked which are hugely oversize.
I have added some custom bbcode to allow you to make the image look smaller without it being smaller.
I have called it rimg. To link to an image, rather than using the normal [img]your image link[/img] tags, use [rimg width=xxx height=xxx]your image link[/rimg]

For example if your image is 1600 pixels wide and 800 tall, if you put [rimg width=800 height=400] it will reduce each dimension by half.
Make sure you reduce each number by the same percentage or it will look squashed.
You can use it to make your image larger too but remember that you can't add quality so it will appear blocky.

Feel free to use this thread to test, I will clear it up from time to time.

I found 1024 x 768 pixels to be the "sweet spot" as it works with most screens.
