Antifreze

Hi Hope some one can hellp ,i seam to rember that PC did an artical about antifreze,but cant rember what they recomended for older engines such as my 1979 GMC . Can any one help .

Just use more of whatever is in there at the moment.

If it's blue, use standard blue antifreeze. If it's red, use red long-life antifreeze.

Either will work just fine, but DON'T mix them, or your system will end up consisting of sloppy goo that will need to be flushed out.

Any anti freeze will be fine, just stick some in there. If it's the green stuff, change it every couple of years. If it's yellow, blue or red, it's long life and will last longer.

Any MEG antifreeze is generally advised. I bought THIS for mine.

We sell Evans Waterless coolant. Never needs changing. Many of our customers ask for it as it eliminates boil over and inhibits corrosion, its really good stuff but even when hot you can take the radiator cap off with no drama (no water, therefore no pressure)

I've seen various of those. I am always loathed to spend that much no it as whenever I have to do work on the car that involves anything to do with cooling I always end up spilling some and what ends up in the bucket under the car is always contaminated with the oil / pas fluid that acts as a rust inhibitor on the chassis.
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

I was reading the other day that tap water isn't ideal,because the parts become coated with minerals
