Cortina Front Suspension - Lower Shock mounting studs

Hi All,
I'm in the process (a long process) of rebuilding a Gilbern Invader Mk III. I'm currently putting the front suspension back together but have discovered that some muppet (ie me!) got paint all over the threads of the lower shock mounting studs.
The front suspension is Mk III Cortina, and I am trying to find out what thread these studs are, so I can fun a die over them to clean them off.
Can anyone help?
