HubCaps

I purchased Mk2 VW Golf wheel centre caps[set of 4] off Facebook Marketplace for £15. They arrived today. I popped them in the sink with piping hot water & washing powder. I kid you not the old paint & grime came off.
The photos are from the seller. The rest are after the clean I'll post later.
I did have spare 70's Austin Mini chrome hubcap in the porch. The VW centre caps with a little work squeeze into the back of the Mini hub cap. This gives me another option rather than repainting the VW centre caps. I could put a spacerbetween the Mini & VW to hold them firmly together. It would mean no need to drill a wheel for fixing hub cap clips.
Well that's the options for the Corrola to replace the tatty plastic full wheel trims. I will look at wheel colour if I get given the car when Mother gets another Volvo.
If I can find a set of VW 5x100 bolt patern then I might have do similar for the Chrysler's 16" un-molested wheels!
