Something a little different 'bloggy' & not quite classic!
As some of you know I sold the old 240 & 850, & got a V70T5. So that leaves us one each with SWMBO's Ph2V70 ! Previously we had 3 vehicles, & intended to go back to 3 again once we'd found something that suits.....
It must be an 'age thing' as we were going down the motorhome route.
Budget certainly not being high, the hunt was on, mainly on the french LeBonCoin website.
Eventually I found one not too far away & within budget. Sounds good.....erm' well it had sat in a barn for the best part of three years..... so was probably in need of some TLC.
Went for a look, had a spin after the owner said he'd got it running & later made a cheeky offer insisting that he put a cambelt kit on & get a full Controle Technique (MOT) done in that price. He only went & accepted!
So about 10 days later ,MOT went straight through. Cambelt kit done saw me driving home in this old (ish) beast! And ownership has been fun & 'entertaining'.
(Pics after a clean up, it was rather 'green' in places!)
If theres any interest I'll continue as a blog' as I enjoy making these types of threads. If not, no worries

That's a stylish looking van, and not too massive either. My taste in vehicles is diverse to say the least so the van gets a big "more please!" from this member.

Some people are like Slinkies - they serve no useful purpose, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them downstairs.

I couldn't decide whether they were Sierra or late FWD Escort, maybe both Fords used the same units?Luxobarge wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 8:57 amLate Ford Sierra?Paul240480 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 15, 2018 8:19 amAs an aside, which car boffin recognises them head & fog lights then
Maybe Escort then? But the Pistonheads image is interesting to me as I've never met a Sierra as new as that one. Old stock at the time of registration perhaps?
