Painted, flatted & polished Demasked & fitted up - I could not convince the client to have the rear bumper done at same time which now lets the car down especially as it has been repainted at some stage in the wrong variant shade of the original colour - anyhow just a quick valet in the morning and I can deliver it back to the client

Re: In the workshop at present
So next on the list is something a little different
1967 Lambretta GT 200 in for some minor welding where a previous restoration had bodged the floor side trims on with self tappers - so weld up the holes / dress back - weld up a couple of minor splits in the floor plates - little bit of reshaping on the same panels and make good the paint Glad I took the panels back to bare metal as the previous paint job had seen the paint applied directly over rust1937 Jowett 8 - Project - in less pieces than the Jupiter

Re: In the workshop at present
Primed, Painted & polished - bit of minor touching in on the scooter it's self - now ready for collection and assembly by the client (who was made up with the job) - so unless an emergency job turns up that's it for this year (will get a few jobs on my own motors done over the hols) but most of my resources have to be applied to getting a new kitchen fitted / floor tiled / utility room refitted over the hols. Plenty booked in for next year though - I have the the camper to get painted & finished plus there are three major classic paint jobs booked in already plus a fair bit to do on a Jowett Bradford van and the odd modern creeps in now & again - not complaining it's a nice problem to have - have a great Christmas all

Re: In the workshop at present
Some very grand work going on there, it all seems to be working out to plan, and I imagine it is much better being out of the franchise work. So here is to 2017 continuing that way for you.

Re: In the workshop at present
So onwards with the camper - as explained previously with the pattern front panel fitted I was left with excessive door aperture gapping of 10 - 12mm - I would like to reduce it to somewhat nearer 5mm - JPB said -
- John you are so very close - But I opted to build the edge of the front panel out with 5mm mild steel barDoes the work involve building up the leading or trailing edge of a door with welding rods.

With doors removed & refitted several times - you just have to keep working methodically and take your time
Mark up any areas that require further work You can further build out areas that require it by stitching weld to the area in question and dressing it back - but slowly the results will come 1937 Jowett 8 - Project - in less pieces than the Jupiter
