In a bid to consolidate storage facilities and bring everything a little closer to home since our move to leafy Hampshire from London over 2 years ago - the last few weekends has seen a lockup in West London emptied of all tat and placed into a lockup garage a few miles down the road from home - more importantly my Jowett 8 project moved from a different storage facility the other side of Guildford and now housed within the same local lockup with the consolidated tat - it is an important & rare early car - only built for about 3 years - twin cylinder horizontally opposed engine - this is exactly how I purchased it several years ago - in parts but part restored - All the engine & running gear have been rebuilt / chassis shot blasted & powder coated - loads of new bits - panels shot blasted & primed - new exhaust / clutch / brakes / bearings / springs / wiring harness etc - some chrome work done - they were just about to commence on the body (part ash frame / part steel construction) when the owner passed away - I bought the car to prevent it from getting split up / sold on as parts through e bay by the firm that taken the restoration on and had been left the car from the estate in lieu of payment for work - and have not touched it since purchase - it's still a few years away before restoration commences - but for now it's safe and largely complete :D
