Are you going to post next week saying you have decided to buy a nice sensibe alvis then wait a day or so while people tell you how comfortable they are and how gorgeous they look then post pics of a Stalwart?

She's been laid up for over 3 years. Mechanically spot-on but the bodywork has the dreaded tin worm in a couple of places. If you have a look here:

You can see where the areas of rot are that will need attention. Overall she looks worse than she really is - and inside the load bed is a comms body rigged for living accomodation!!

No
- I
had a nice sensible Alvis Stalwart Mk 2 - and I absolutley loved it but - it was built in 1969 so it needed the equivalent of a HGV class 2 and I lost my HGV's when an accident in the TA left me with epilepsy. However - if you want a pic of a Stalwart - this was mine when she performed in front of HM The Queen in 2007!!

Cheers
Latest news is it looks like collection will be scheduled for the 30th April - just waiting for the transport guy to confirm it is OK. Once I know for certain it will be off to the local battery specialist for a pair of type 663s so she can be driven on to the the lowloader and off again.

You can have two if you like. Just promise me that you won't live near me.
I prefer to live in peace with the neighbours. It's not exactly ten tons.

Bump start - who are you kidding. There's a reason these things have the interstart sockets in the cabs.
Although if it weren't for the front tow hitch you would see the handle in the bumper for a starting handle.......

This one will be living out in the country on a farm. Apart from anything else - If I tried to get into my drive with it I would be driving over the parked cars on either side of the very narrow road I live in...
