I had 3 there, opposite side to yours nearer the entrance, red elan plus 2, blue tr7 v8 and series 2 landrover.
The uaz looked great particularly impressed with space inside it, my colleage (owns the ant with mower on the back) was drooling over it.

These are yours then - yes?
I did like the Landie. - I should have had a Series 3 FFR there instead of the UAZ but DVLA screwed up. As usual.
Thanks for the nice words about the UAZ - I appreciate that! At lot of people got freaked by the Avtomat propped on the passenger seat!
It is spacious inside but the shape of the doors to accommodate the fuel fillers make getting in and out awkward. A minor issue though!!

Yes this is my fleet (well the roadworthy ones), they actually look better in your photos than in the flesh !

I was taken very much with the TR7/8 Awfully tempted - but if I did the wife might start using the dreaded "D" word!!
Just waiting for the rain to stop here now so I can get the UAZ brakes adjusted - OH is at the post office trying them to see if they will process the Landies tax class change She has more patience than I do!!!

Re: Going East - getting a UAZ 469 back on the road
I went out to adjust the brakes this morning - at 20:00 hours feeling ever so slightly damp I got back indoors. Did the passenger rear first and the fun started. Could not work out how the adjusters worked so I took the drum off and found the material on the leading shoe was almost no-existent. Ah thinks I - Rob got me a full set of new shoes, a simple job to change them over..... Yeah right - I forgot we are talking UAZ and not Landrover.... 4 hours later I am sat there trying to work out how the hell that bl**dy tension spring is meant to go back on... Finally cracked it with the aid of a a honking great screwdriver and a pair of mole grips. So I moved on to the drovers side rear thinking now I know what to do it will be quicker. - and it was - until I went to refit the drum and with the adjusters wound right in it would not fit over the new shoes. Checked the drum for a lip, no sign of one, tried chamfering the edge of the shoe - that didn't work and it was starting to get dark and wet so I thought "sod it" and put the old shoes back on which on this side had plenty of meat left on them. And again - they are still rubbing even with the adjusters would right in.
Tomorrow the OT moves down to W&P so when I get back I will have a crack at just adjusting the fronts - the passenger side is biting more than the drivers causing the sharp pull and the drivers side wheel just gets warm - unlike the passenger side and both rears which get almost too hot to touch. Anything that doesn't get done tomorrow will have to be done down at W&P.

Neil are the drums and pads interchangeable between the sides?
As you might try one drum on the opposite side to see if someone has just used any old part rather than the correct one! or you could just measure the details and compare which ever is easier foryou.

Re: Going East - getting a UAZ 469 back on the road
They should be Had I more time I would have tried this - but it was getting dark last night - and wet too so I had to take the quick fix option as I have actually got two whole days work tomorrow and Friday, today was spent getting an armoured vehicle shipped down to the War and Peace show site and on Saturday I move the UAZ and FFR Landie down there.
So I will be packing all the parts and my tool box and trying out the fixes on-site as part of the public entertainment.

So that means a full scale battle reenackment and a fresh battle of the Budge (as in it won't budge) then!
