When you can do it I'll listen to your jokes ;)

Detailed the engine bay today, after cleaning the throttle body which has all but cured the sticky throttle.

I also tidied up the exhaust, it's not perfect but its much better and in my mind its little details like this that stand out.

After the heavy rain of late I've found there is a leak somewhere as the drivers matt is wet, so I'll have to investigate sometime. After that I took it out for a spin and even though there was Saturday traffic it was very enjoyable!

 Video of you on the unicycle please, or it didn't happen! ;)

That engine bay looks marvellous, do you risk steam cleaning around modern engines or is it the result of manual labour and much of it?

I'm not that good yet, still learning!

Thanks, it was pretty clean to start with but no I daren't take a steam cleaner to it as a fellow owner suggested. I mixed a high concentration of wash and wax which I applied with a paintbrush or sponge where possible then just wiped it all off with lots of cloths, then put rubber dressing on the hoses. A bit laborious but worth it even if there is still some left to do.

Went out for another drive this morning, was an opportunity to test my new GoPro :) Next weekend its entered in the Pembrokeshire County Run.

A very small robust video camera
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

I've wanted one for a long time Rich, they are great to have! Especially to film things like my kart racing or when I go waterskiing or cliff diving.

The car has Pirelli P6000's fitted except for the NSR wheel which was a manky Goodyear. Strangely the spare was a Pirelli P6000 almost new so I decided to change them over last night via a tyre centre as the spare is a steel wheel. I've very glad I did as a noise that sounded like a wheelbearing has all but gone!

P6000s are standard on all fords of that period. I swapped to Dunlop SP Sports as they are quieter and grippier but the trade off is they don't last as long.

Puma's were sensitive to tyre quality and type, I would stick with one of the original tyre makes, mixing tyres will aslo affect the handling to get the best out of it it should have 4 matching tyres.
