Cooper S

You have my undivided attention. Unless you're a recent lottery winner, I'm guessing that this wouldn't be a 1071, but what the hey, the 1275 is easier to get engine parts for, has loads of lovely torque and still makes me smile, even when I'm only thinking about the last time I was in one. That was a MK2, a very underrated car and a very lovely thing.

It is, It's not definite yet but a friend is selling his in April and I have first refusal. I'm not sure I'd want to pay what they are asking for the Classic Cooper S anyway! I'd rather an Imp.

 @ These wheels. They're 4x100mm with a bore of 56.2mm, so although larger in diameter will fit onto Triumph Acclaims, which could prove useful some day long after the BMW has died. Nice colour too, it's actually quite cute for such a big vehicle. Dammit!

Ok, what do you want to know? I haven't used it too much yet but I LOVE the gearbox. It's automatic with a paddle shift that actually changes when you want it to, not when it feels like it, really enjoying it at the moment.

The wheels are 17", so I'd be curious to see if they'd fit an Acclaim! For a modern it actually is very good looking I must admit. Will the wheels fit an MGB? Hmmm
