Past Projects

Post pictures and stories about your cars both present and past. Also post up "blogs" on your restoration projects - the more pictures the better! Note: blog-type threads often get few replies, but are often read by many members, and provide interest and motivation to other enthusiasts so don't be disappointed if you don't get many replies.

That is very cool. Have you been sent a free model?
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

Stunning stuff, I'm quite jealous as I often am when I see people getting that in depth with a restoration. The TR7/8 really is rather special, I can't think that's the sort of opportunity that presents itself too often. I don't really understand why someone would buy a fully restored car only to modify it, seems counter-intuitive, but I suppose that's the risk one takes when selling a car that's been restored.

If you work on more cars in the future I'd definitely like to read about it, superb motivation to keep me going on my own somewhat more humble projects.

Thanks for the nice comments guys, a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into those cars.

I'm hoping to raise the TR7 standard higher with my current project, will keep you informed of progress.

Cheers, Paul

Some nice work has been going on - dare I say Chap Foose has "competition

I notice one or two "local" registrations (Cumbria), which surprises me - most cars of that era didn't last more then eight or ten years around these parts thanks to salt air and cow muck!

I'm looking forward to some epic projects appearing over the coming months!

Do I get a prize for guessing where the Java roof skin came from? :D
Nope ...lol

The roof actually came off another TR7 I owned at the time, not long after scrapping it Corgi got in touch to advise me they were basing a new model on it which was released only a few weeks ago ... :x
