New P6V8 joins my fleet! Meet No:27

#1 Post by Pilkie » Sat Nov 09, 2013 10:06 am

Just bought another car for the fleet!
Its possibly the earliest known still on the road Series 2 Rover P6V8!
Built 19/8/70 chassis no: 27!!
3 owners!
1st reg'd owners were Rover themselves for a Rover S/West area rep who did 36k miles from 1970-72!!
Then one owner from 1972-2007 who did 95k miles!
Stored 2007-2012 while having resto and recomission work done.
Now on 136k miles with original engine!
Average mileage 3k per annum!
Needs some TLC in places, but overall a very nice useable classic!!
Not my favourite colour though!!

Very nice. I think the only changes I would make to it would be a set of rostyles, change the cam, rejet the carbs and go out and enjoy the noise!
Understeer: when you hit the wall with the front of the car.
Oversteer: when you hit the wall with the back of the car.
Horsepower: how fast you hit the wall.
Torque: how far you take the wall with you.

I must admit Tobacco Leaf isn't the best colour, and I did end up spraying mine red...
